This is a photo story about the light at the time of the winter solstice. It involves 2 hikes in the same area. No bright and shiny photos, no special effects. This group is about the dim light the fading light the cold light. It's about ice and mountains; winter trails thick as frozen rivers spots of snow when it should be blanketed. It's about our winter drought. I have a fascination with winter creeks, the way the ice forms and the water flows. This is also my first wilderness video, probably too long and drawn out but I loved sitting there in the wilderness alone with the water the ice and the cold light. It might seem a little dry and boring but for me it was neither.
